Panagat Festival

Buruanga's biggest and most beloved festival celebrating its identity as a fishing and coastal community. Panagat literally means "to go to the sea and catch something to eat." A week of float contests, cultural shows, street dancing, seafood feasts, sports contests, handicraft markets, and marine conservation advocacy. The entire municipality celebrates. If you can only visit Buruanga once a year, May is the time.
